Classrooms were necessarily designed for convenience, but do little to provide real-life socialization. When you think about it, it really isn’t natural to confine children in settings where the very same people, all the same age, interact on a scheduled basis. I recently went to the movies with a group of other families. In this video, I talk about how homeschoolers get together outside of the home for actual socialization:

Wonderful points my children have more socialization since we began homeschooling. They also have formed closer friends ships then they ever had in school.
I love the ideas/freedom that homeschooling offers, MC. I wish our situation allowed for more of it, especially when there are learning activities that can take place outside the home and dining room table!
