We’re having loads of fun making these videos! Family, friends, homeschooled kids (and even complete strangers who walk by) are all getting involved. It has been a great learning experience for all (especially me!). And that’s what homeschooling is all about, isn’t it? (To read more about the HOWs and WHYs of my video series, scroll down to the links below.)
In this video, I visit the Castillo de San Marco in St. Augustine, Florida. What a place! I talk about the importance of adding field trips to your homeschooling repetoire for concentrated learning while having fun.
Additional note: Kids can read about things like this in books for a few minutes. Or, they can visit historical locations like this one and learn so much more! I’ll bet the students who joined me today could probably write some pretty good research papers right from memory about now. If they would have read about it in a book, I guarantee it would take lots of time to research everything they learned today…
[Keep in mind as you watch that this was planned, filmed, and almost wholly produced by a 10-year old homeschooler. Great job!]
